Book early

Before Christmas and Easter, lots of people send parcels at the same time. The sooner you tell us, the easier it is to get your parcel on the departure you want. Call or send a WhatsApp message to find out which dates are available.

Careful with food

A holiday parcel often means home-made food. Remember:

  • meat, sausages, caltaboș, piftie, cheese, cream from the European Union are not allowed into the UK;
  • cakes and cozonac with milk, butter or eggs may have special rules;
  • packaged sweets, coffee, tea, tinned vegetables and jam are usually allowed.

The official rules are on GOV.UK. If you’re not sure, ask us first.

Presents

Toys, clothes, books and electronics are ordinary presents. Customs charges may apply to high-value gifts – see our customs article or ask us.

Pack for a long journey

A holiday parcel usually has lots of small, fragile things. Put them in strong boxes, fill the gaps and write “FRAGILE” if needed. There are tips in our packing guide.

Check the address

Around the holidays many people are away or have guests. Confirm with the recipient that they’ll be at home and that you have the full address with postcode.
