How we use the information you give us when you ask for a price, make a booking or write to us.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is CRC Transporte. The company’s details and contact information are shown in the website footer and on the Contact page.
What we collect
When you message us on WhatsApp or call us to book, you give us:
- your name, phone number and, if you choose, your email address and WhatsApp number;
- the collection and delivery addresses, including the postcode;
- parcel details (weight, size, contents) and your preferred date;
- the message you write to us.
What you enter in the calculator is only used to work out the price. The booking is sent from the calculator straight to WhatsApp: the website doesn’t keep it or email it.
To protect the website against abuse we keep an encrypted value (hash) derived from your IP address, not the IP address itself.
Why we use your data
- to contact you and arrange the transport you asked for (steps before entering into a contract, and carrying it out);
- to meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and customs requirements;
- to protect the website against abuse (legitimate interest).
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
Your data is seen by the CRC team handling your booking. Messages we receive on WhatsApp are kept in the WhatsApp app on the CRC team’s phones. Where the transport requires it, some details (such as the recipient’s name and address) may be passed to customs authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as needed for the transport and for the legal obligations that apply afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, receive a copy of it and object to its use. To make any request, contact us. You can also complain to the ICO in the UK or ANSPDCP in Romania.
