Transport conditions
What you need to know before handing us a parcel: prohibited items, packing, compensation, collection and delivery.
Prohibited items
Spirits, tobacco products, weapons, drugs, gold or silver items, cash and anything else prohibited by law are not allowed. The full list is on the Prohibited items page.
Parcel contents
- The sender declares the contents of the parcel correctly.
- For goods with special customs rules (food, medicines) the sender must stay within the official limits.
- We may refuse a parcel if we suspect prohibited contents or if the packaging doesn’t protect it.
Packing and labelling
The sender is directly responsible for how shipments are packed and labelled; we accept no liability if they are damaged as a result. Fragile items must be protected (bubble wrap, cardboard, padding). There are tips in our packing guide.
Weight and size
The price is based on chargeable weight. If the weight or size at collection differs from what was declared, the price is recalculated and you’re told before departure. Any parcel over 300 kg gets a discount.
Collection and delivery
- The collection day is agreed by phone.
- All parcels travel refrigerated.
- The recipient gets a call before delivery.
- If the recipient can’t be contacted, the parcel will be returned to the sender, at the sender’s cost.
Compensation
- If a parcel is lost or damaged, the sender will be compensated with twice the transport price.
- If the value of the parcel was declared, the injured party will be compensated according to the declared value.
Acceptance of these conditions
Mandatory: by handing the parcel to the courier, the sender agrees to these conditions, whether or not they have signed the transport document.
